Pro Eyelash Extensions
Natural lashes grow in cycles; therefore, a good set of extensions can last 2-4 weeks with proper care/maintenance. Because of these 'cycles', a "lash fill" or "in-fill of your lashes will be necessary every 2-3 weeks after initial application. If lash extensions last longer, it is usually a sign of misapplied lashes, too much adhesive, or lashes are stuck together, inhibiting the natural shedding pattern of the eyelashes. A fresh set is needed if less than 50% of the set remains at any time. During a fill service, grown-out and twisted lash extensions are removed, and new extensions are applied to more new but mature eyelashes, thus re-creating a full look.
LLASH IN-FILL: During an in-fill service, grown-out and replace those extensions that have NATURALLY shed with your natural eyelashes. Humans shed 2-5 eyelashes per upper lid, per eye, per day. (Average of 3 per day.) A lash artist will apply, on average, 60-100 lashes to suitable natural lashes of each eye, therefore, you will see the following general loss patterns. Beautiful, lush-looking eyes come from a veteran lash & brow extension artist!
Clients returning for infills must return with a least 50% or will be charged a full set of eyelash extensions due to the additional work required to rectify the set.

THE PROCEDURE
After a professional consultation where the lash artist explains the procedure, care and benefits of the eye lash extensions, she will bring you into a lash treatment room. Here you will relax on a comfortable spa table, with a bolster under your knees and neck pillow (if required) for complete body support and relaxation. Once your eye area is cleansed and your bottom lashes protected, you are ready to receive the extensions. Each individual lash is dipped in a Medical bonding adhesive and applied to a natural individual lash. Great care is taken to avoid skin contact. On an average classic application, each eye will require between 50 - 200 new lashes depending on how many natural lashes the person has as well as the look desired. The entire procedure averages about 90 - 120 minutes and is very relaxing. You emerge with a revitalized and uplifted look to your eyes.
To get the most out of your eyelash extensions. Strictly follow simple instructions. The first 48 hours are crucial to the bonding procedure, so: • ABSOLUTELY NO WATER OR STEAM on EYELASHES for 24 hours • NO SAUNA, STEAMING, SWIMMING or WASHING EYES with water for 48 hours • NO: Mascara, emollients, creams, and oils (destroy eye lash bonding agent) • USE EYE CREAMS SPARINGLY AND AVOID LID AND/OR LASHES • DO NOT USE MASCARAor MASCARA REMOVER. It dramatically shortens lash extension life
• DO NOT USE LASH CURLERS. It breakS the lashes and/or creases them • DO NOT RUB LASHES when washing your face - pat dry after cleansing • DO NOT PULL ON LASH EXTENSIONS

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara. We don't spend time removing makeup from your lashes or you will be charged $25. We'd rather spend time working on perfecting your lashes. If you wear contact lens, please remove them and wear glasses or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment. Set aside 1.5 - 3 hours for your appointment depending on the style of extensions you are having applied. This procedure is relaxing, many clients fall asleep due to comfortable atmosphere. Enjoy!
Q's & A's
Can I use Mascara on my extensions? For those dye hard fans the answer is "It is NOT recommended". It will shorten or destroy the life of the extensions and we are not responsible for the effects of mascara application. You will not need to use mascara with these extensions.
Most mascaras are petroleum based, will break down the bonding agent of the extensions, and dramatically shorten their lives. Because your bottom lashes touch your top lashes when the eye is closed, we recommend not using your normal mascara on your bottom lashes as well. The goal is to go mascara-less.
I sleep on my stomach. Will this affect my lashes? If you sleep on your stomach, or sleep with a pillow or blanket over your head, or cover your eyes with sleeping mask, the longevity of your lashes will be greatly diminished. Side sleepers will notice that the eye that is on the side they sleep on will loose lashes a bit more than the side that is up. This is normal.
Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe? Currently the FDA does not regulate eyelash extensions because the eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The primary ingredient in our adhesive is the same ingredient used by plastic surgeons in the U.S. for suture-less wound closure. The application process is pain-free and relaxing. In fact, many clients fall asleep during the procedure. However, improper application by an unqualified technician can cause damage to your eyes and eyelids. Do not trust your eyes to just any spa or technician. Great EyeLash Extensions are the result of a great amount of research and are the absolute longest lasting and best quality available.
